We offer two charmingly restored houses on a cobbled street in the village of Fuenteheridos . This is a small and charming agricultural village in the heart of the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche Park which offers over a dozen bars and restaurants to visitors. The Park itself, established in 1989 principally for the protection of raptors such as the black and griffon vultures, forms part of a larger UNESCO biosphere reserve established to protect ancient oak and chestnut forest agricultural systems. The whole area is a walker's paradise with hundreds of kilometres of tracks running past dry stoned walled pastures and woods. Rich in wildlife it lies at the centre of the Jabugo ham business famous for producing world renowned ham from open grazing acorn fed black Iberian pigs.

Our houses are the last two in the village making them perfectly located for quiet walking and bird watching holidays. Situated at the beginning of good walking trails and next to the old and now unused bull ring with lovely views across the wooded hillsides. All bedrooms are ensuite with large windows. Each house has an enclosed patio. These communicate with each other making the houses perfect for groups of up to 8 people although we are happy to let the houses individually. Fully centrally heated and with fireplaces they make a perfect escape for autumn or spring holidays.
