Study of hedgehogs in Catalonia
This project is aimed at contributing towards the knowledge of aspects related to the biology and behaviour of these likeable insectivores, which have received little or no study in Catalonia, in terms of their conservation, very sensitive, among other factors, due to the huge number of road deaths they suffer from. Radio tacking has been carried out on individuals of the two species present in Catalonia, the Algerian hedgehog (Atelerix algirus) and the European hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus), and ethological studies have been carried out in fenced pens, in order to understand better their behaviour.
